Because if you post 15 short posts followed by a link in your 16th our spam filters kick in & automatically delete them.

That's why it says in the rules that you didn't read don't post 15 short posts just so you can post a link.

I think you are looking for artists like:

Jurassic 5
Blackalicious
Aesop Rock
Sunspot Jonz
Del Tha Funkee Homosapien
etc.

All these rap artists/groups really don't rap about guns and hos and most of them are great.

Okay, I was thinking the guy was looking for recent stuff that had the old-school style. Well, damn..

Big Daddy Kane
KRS-One
Big L
Craig Mack
A Tribe Called Quest
(any of the native tounges)

There's a ton, even older like early 80s stuff. Dunno what he's after. I mean you do a search of those rappers on amazon or something and you'll find a bunch of related artists.
