Default Hip hop with real instruments

I don't listen to a whole lot of hip hop, but I like stuff with real instruments as opposed to computerized beats. Some stuff I like is Ozomatli, although a lot of their music isn't hip hop. But they do have plenty of good hip hop songs like Cut Chemist Suite and Saturday Night. I also like G. Love & Special sauce, but I wouldn't necessarily put that in the hip hop category although they do have some rap type vocals.

Anybody got any suggestions for stuff I might like?

Mos Def made an album a couple years ago (A New Danger) which breaks out of the norm of hip-hop, but it also holds snatches of other genres, and all of it done very well. And unless I'm mistaken, I believe he performed all of them...

The New Danger is a great album. Don't forget A Tribe Called Quest as well.

A lot of Outkast songs are played on conventional instruments. Andre 3000 is quite the multi-instrumentalist and plays everything from guitar to keyboard to saxophone on their albums.

Atmosphere had an album with all live instruments.

Flobots - use live instruments.

The Roots are great!

You could also look into Rehab or Gym Class Heroes
