Default 2008: A Great Year for Hip-Hop

this year has been solid as far as hip-hop releases go. we've got Flo Rida, Weezy, David Banner, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, TI, Young Jeezy, and Webbie all putting out great records

what are you guys' favorite releases of this year, so far? mine is definitely Webbie's Savage Life 2. the beats are solid, the rhymes and guests are tight, and the production is perfect

what are your favorite singles? Mine is probably "Out Here Grinding," and I can't wait for Ace Hood's debut, which is dropping soon

The only Hip Hop album I've picked up this year is Invincible's ShapeShifters. I love her delivery on this album. The production is alright but it's her flow that really makes this stand out. This album was on heavy rotation for a few weeks. Sledgehammer!, ShapeShifters and Locusts are my favorite tracks off the album.

I can't stand Lil Wayne. From what I've heard of his songs, all he talks about is how great he is. Overrated.
