Ok it seems that this thread has shifted in and out of unknown to forgotten acts.

In that case I would say Rampage the Last Boyscout, Rakim, and I swear people have already forgotten how awesome One Man Army A'Son was.

Lots of people only know Mos Def as an actor...which makes him a nobody of hip hop to them. Although out of the formentioned..he is more well known than most anyways.
