the closest single he got stateside was fix up look sharp and that was about it. he couldn't survive stateside.

I would equate busta rhymes flows to dizzee rascal , if busta wanted to rap over those type of house beats he could easily transition to grime

I prefer Sway because he's hilarious!!

I also like Kano

America just doesn't like Grime all that much do they? It is a British sound primarily. That track with Lily Allen on Maths and English was a monstrosity though :(

Boy In Da Corner is absolutely brilliant. Showtime is very good. M and E is ****ing crap apart from a couple of corkers. Also Sway is balls.

Pretty much agree with you. I do like pussyole from M & E though. I have nix he did with sidewinder a few years back which is solid.

You're right. Pretty much the only attention he got here years ago was for 'Fix up, Look Sharp' and its not even his best. The states aren't ready for him.

I think part of the issue is a lot of people over here have a problem with British people rapping. I have no idea why it would matter to anyone but I can't count the number of "lulz british ppl shouldnt try to rap" comments I've seen on Amazon for Dizzee Rascal albums. Really stupid reason to dislike someone's music if you ask me.

Yeah it's narrow minded to say the least. Roots Manuva is quality too.

Boy In Da Corner is great, I thought Showtime was pretty much just as good. Maths + English is kind of a letdown, partly because there isn't much there to begin with. There's a few live tracks on itunes, "Fix Up Look Sharp" and "Jus A Rascal" are ridiculous--Dizzee is twice as intense live, check that out
