I'm into hip hop that still has the true essence of the artform in it. Don't see it much these days but if you think of Native Tongues, The Roots, Common, Mos Def & Talib, you get what i mean

I like a little bit of all of it.

I like some mainstream Hip-Hop, underground Hip-Hop, Hardcore Hip-Hop, Backpacker Hip-Hop.

As long as it sounds good, and it catches my ear, I can dig it.

It's usually used to describe conscious rappers, from what I've seen, or so I believe.
It's hard to really tell what it is, as some people look at the term "backpacker" as a bad thing.

That being said, I think Cool Kids fall more into the Hipster Category.
I do love me some Cool Kids though.

gangsta rap- NWA, Ice Cube, Snoop, Dre, Game, Da Lench Mobb, old school Wayne. All that good stuff, it goes hard!
