You said his hype is based off face time and i agree. I was contesting the hype not you really
Well, okay but have you read those articles? they are basically saying some of the same things I'm saying as far as his work ethic. I still wouldn't go as far as to say he's the best rapper alive. I guess I don't agree with that type of hype but I respect his work ethic and how much material he puts out even though they aren't all on point and the best.

yeah I think the majority of it was decent there were just a few bad tracks here and there, filler type stuff.

Okay, I understand that. I wouldn't go so far as to say 75% of it is terrible but yeah a larger percentage of it doesn't live up to being his best work.

When you release such a large quantity of work do you really expect all of it to be his best and 100% on every single track?

No,
I but I feel like it is still okay to criticize it. If you made a bunch of bad music I'm not going to like you any more for it.

I see a lot of people like rap artists for "putting in work" or hustling and its just confusing to me.

yeah I agree it's fine to criticize someone for putting out bad music.

The second part with the "putting in work" that's because people like the business aspect of the rap artist much more than just the music what they are doing as a whole. People understand that rap is a business and it's about the whole package and NOT just the music.

50 cent fell off music wise but I respect his hustle as far as being a pretty damn good business man

Yeah i feel like that is fading away though. It seemed like that mentality was more around when gangster rap was prominent.

Well on second thought, people take drake seriously so your probably right.

damn hating on drake too? lol

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I do like Drake but I think it's because of the whole singing/rapping stuff that he does.

Kid Cudi does it as well.

The whole half singing , half rapping seems to be in now and others are trying to follow suit.

I wouldn't give credit to Mos Def though, it's not what he normally does but you are right about Andre 3k.

I could probably go back and find an earlier artist that did it as well but meh w/e.

I respect your opinion on all of these except Dessa.
**** you if you don't like Dessa.

Not really, but really.

Also, B.o.B., Big Sean and Cudi are cool, too.
