I agree, those lines do flow very smooth into the earhole, but it just doesn't cut it for me. I like Lil Wayne's portion for how witty every or almost every line/bar is. His flow may not be mind blowing, but the wordplay is pretty extraordinary to me. But I do see what you mean.

matious, i thought we were friends dawg.

agreed. I don't think I've really paid attention to Cory's verse to even see if he said anything witty lol. I just like the sound of it and I block out the words.

What's your favorite line in the song if you had to pick one?

okay, I lost my mind, it's somewhere out there stranded
I think you stand under me if you don't understand me.

I really like that one.

I wouldn't say he was overrated.. even tho I'm barely a fan. He's just come such a long way even though he was adopted into that life. Lucky Bastoid. But at least he's making the best of it. Sometimes I hear him say things in his songs and I'm like ."ohhh Nice.. "
Plus he's the only hip hop artist I know of that also attempted a Rock album lol .. Thats Ballsy ..

Lil Wayne's songs are so pro. He does most of them off the top of his head too!

I know that you said "I know of" but there is Lupe's rock album and Kid Cudi has a rock album coming out this summer.

There are some others but those two came to the top of my head right away.

It's not really a new "ballsy" concept for a hip hop artist to do a rock album.

He uses women's name wordplay wayyyy too often, and it's extremely stupid. But that's a molehill.

I really like that one.
I can dig that. I mean his rhymes are solid, but i'm not very fond for a lot of Young/Cash Money artists because i feel like they take a lot of their style from Wayne, at least in punchline and lyrical content and whatnot.

my favorite one would probably be.... there's a buncch a little clever ass lines sprinkles throughout but the most solid would be:

"swear man, I be seeing through these n-ggas like sequins
n-ggas think they He-Men, pow, pow, the end "

I like how sequins and bulletholes kinda correlate there. I also really lovee the flash, synchronized swimmers, and segregation lines. But i think that line there is prettttyyy cold.

My question is, was 6'7" some kinda crazy stroke of genius?

Because nothing I've heard since then has sounded anywhere as good. I'm still looking forward to carter 4, but from what I've heard so far it's pretty basic.
