I've just downloaded and listened to Deltron 3030 and personally I think it's better than any Doom release.

The amount of work an artist has done has no bearing on their quality. I can name a guy called shawnphase whose music sucks and he releases tons, then I can name a band like Feline who released next to nothing and own face.

That said, I'm more a fan of Deltron, for the simple fact I don't much care for technical delivery, I care about content.

Doom easily has better content, and thats me trying to sound as unbiased as possible.

I think people assume doom isn't as creative or a great lyricist because of his monotone, cheap words, and lack of hooks.

However, after you have listened to a song a few times the jokes, social commentary, and really nerdy references start poppin out and it becomes pretty interesting to listen to and pick apart.

He's also really good at making sure like the last 5 syllables or whatever rhyme

I think hes ultra creative actually, its actually a fairly decent pitting of two hip hop giants. I enjoy both immensely and will continue to buy new stuff from both artists as their new stuff comes out.

DooM is honestly one of the best lyricist of all time. There are plenty of people that have similar styles to Del. But who on earth could do hip-hop like DooM?

the answer:

no one.

3030 was a masterpiece that's for sure. My favorite of Del's work.

No, man, not true. Del does his best to a) be hella unique and b) make it difficult for someone to bite his style because its so out there. And I'm referring mostly to his latest 3 or 4 albums, but its been a recurring topic of discussion in his lyrics that people TRY to bite his style but they come off sounding retarded...

The whole Hieroglyphics crew raps about biters a lot. And how they fail at biting, let alone rapping/writing in the first place...
