1. Outkast
2. 2Pac 3. Kanye West I was wondering whether to put Kanye in here, seen as he has only released 2 albums compared to 2Pac's and Outkast's numerous ones. But I thought that both of his albums have been better than most artist's combined 10 albums. I can't believe none of you thought about Outkast-they have revolutioned the biz time and time again, and even if you don't like their music then you at least have to appreciate the contributions they have made to the industry. 2Pac is an easy choice to make seen as he managed to reach the mainstream and get many controversial points across. |

hobojesus. Dude you're overrating Kanye. His flow is nothing special, lyrics are average, and although College Dropout was my favorite album of 04 and Late one of my favorite albums in 05, Kanye is no way near the top 3 rappers. Especially since you have Chuck D, Talib Kweli, Rakim, Immortal Technique, Ice Cube, KRS, Fresh Prince, Run, etc. And having influence doesn't mean that you're a top 3 rapper either.
and btw bungalowbill357, you like Jazzy Jeff as a rapper more than a DJ? He's never rapped much on the Jazzy Jeff Fresh Prince albums. |
