I have his whole discography and for me its hit and miss but when hes on hes the best ether, suicide bounce, hate me now all great tracks
And I thought NAS was suprior to Jay-z but once he signed with him peace or no it was like acknowledging defeat

I'd used google to find this thread so if you need to merge it with another so be it but I wanted to point out that I like Nas and everything but he bite his whole style/swagger from this man!
Cormega Cormega is 10x better than Nas on his best day.

I really liked him on the new Beastie Boys album
Too Many Rappers (New Reactionary Version) Other than that, I haven't heard him that much. |

I think he's hungry too. Didn't love this song to be honest though. Rae lost his appeal to me awhile ago. When he was younger and his first stuff with Wu and OB4CL he was awesome. I think it just felt more raw with his older material and more real, even if it wasnt (with the mafioso theme with Ghostface). I don't know, his new stuff doesn't do it to me. Nas is tough to put into context because he'll never run the billboard charts and doesn't seem real concerned with flashy hooks or appealing to the masses. Yall know I'm a Nas rider but he's a true rhymer and he still blows me away with the way he changes rhyme schemes and his delivery.
I'm diggin it. I wish Funk Flex would shut the fuck up though. Maybe the official release won't have him talking over the verses as much, lets cross our fingers. |
