No, he's my favourite and judging by the poll he's my favourite with good reason.

Not if all of the Eminem voters' reason is that they haven't really listened to 75% of the poll options. I think that's Jester's point. Eminem has made some fun/good music but often the music that he chose to make is really poor quality compared to a lot of the others on the poll. Simply ruined by commercial interests that were probably largely out of Em's control. Eminem is a good or even great rapper but there are many flaws in his music just like any commercial thing.

No matter what, Aesop Rock is better

I already said my Hip-Hop was limited, I just voted for my favourite. Like I'm sure a lot of people who voted Eminem have done, I think white or black he's one of the best anyway, so listening to a bunch of white other rappers, I may like them but I'd still prefer Eminem. I've heard about 3 of the ones on the poll. If people want to blindy vote Eminem as their favourite then there's nothing wrong with that. Like I said, white or black he's probably my favourite. Mainly for the Marshall Mathers LP.

right, you haven't heard nearly half of the list (and other is a huge option)

you can't make judgments without proper insight

Yes I can, because I already have. I never claimed to be a connoisseur of Hip-Hop, I merely voted for my favourite all time rapper. Skin colour aside, I think that's acceptable enough. Voting for him cos he's the only one I've heard of and kind of like would be wrong, but he's my favourite. I doubt listening to a lot of the others would change that. Although 16 votes Vanilla Ice may sway me if I listen to his entire discography.

I have heard all the artists on the list. I still listen to many including Ali, Sage, Eyedea, Aesop etc... but I vote Eminem. I've heard 90% of the discos of the artists previously named and worth my time (sorry ICP) and still find him more talented. I agree that alot of his music isn't great, when he gets down to it, he creates lyrics that I feel Aesop nor Eyedea can touch.

I wasn't saying that anybody who really knows the music on the list wouldn't or shouldn't vote for Eminem. Although I am a little surprised to see an Aesop fan say that he 'can't touch' Eminem lyrically. Ouch

I might have gone a bit far to prove a point. I enjoy them all, each unique in delivery. Aesop I would consider my number two to be honest. I think my selling point is relativity, I can relate to alot of Em's involvement in life, as the basics are much like my own. If eminem is a ten, Aesop would be a 9.
