Since I'm in a position to talk to these kids and they listen
I ain't no politician but I'll kick it with 'em a minute Cause see they call me a menace; and if the shoe fits I'll wear it But if it don't, then y'all'll swallow the truth grin and bear it Now who's these king of these rude ludicrous lucrative lyrics Who could inherit the title, put the youth in hysterics Usin his music to steer it, sharin his views and his merits But there's a huge interference - they're sayin you shouldn't hear it Maybe it's hatred I spew, maybe it's food for the spirit Maybe it's beautiful music I made for you to just cherish But I'm debated disputed hated and viewed in America as a mother****in drug addict - like you didn't experiment? Now now, that's when you start to stare at who's in the mirror and see yourself as a kid again, and you get embarrased And I got nothin to do but make you look stupid as parents You ****in do-gooders - too bad you couldn't do good at marriage! (Ha ha!) And do you have any clue what I had to do to get here I don't think you do so stay tuned and keep your ears glued to the stereo Cause here we go - he's {*Jigga joint Jigga-chk-Jigga*} And I'm the sinister, Mr. Kiss-My-Ass it's just a lol at comparing Apathy to that above. That verse on Renegade is "overrated". And you call someone who's got songs such as "nrrrrd girl", "the masturbation song", "pizza butt", and "metapor" as someone who should be in this discussion. You don't understand hip-hop at all. And that's fine. Download Paid in Full, It's a Big Daddy Thing, etc...learn.

I already have Paid in Full, you really don't need to be condescending. And if someone thinks a song is overrated, that's their opinion. The way you're hyping that song, I could see why someone would think so; I certainly do.
And mc chris isn't serious, I'll grant that. You're not even making a valid argument; he can spit, and can write a good song. And wait a second, Metaphor is a skit, not a song. Ok, what the fuck?

You've listened to A Milli 157 times. It puts serious questions to your ability to judge good music. When the hip-hop community raves about Em's verse on that song and says he's a legend, etc, etc....they've got more credibility then some people on a forum saying MC Chris is a good artist. Even Nas states it about Renegade..."Em murdered you on your own ****" -referencing Jay-Z.
Hip-hop is meant to tell stories that people have gone through and have some emotion and meaning behind them. MC Chris barely qualifies for 1/3 of that. Please remember that when you judge it in the future. It's fine to enjoy whatever you want, but to come in a conversation and state that someone rhyming about some embarrassing **** on a beat isn't hip-hop.

Then focus on the rest of what I've said in that post. But the fact remains, why you pollute yourself with that trash and then try to form serious opinions of hip-hop show a conflict of interest.

That whole post is shit, and this whole theory that all the hip Hop I listen to is trash is also shit. Wanna know what else I listen to?
NaS Wu Tang Clan GZA Ghostface Killah POS Lupe Fiasco Ice Cube MF Doom/Dangerdoom MIA Public Enemy Scroobius Pip Rakim beastie Boys (apparently not real hip hop) Tupac Biggie But all this is obviously garbage. But back to the actual topic:

I like MC Chris, and that's my opinion. Don't tell me I don't understand Hip-Hop. I've listened to EPMD, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang, and all the other legends in the game. But I don't understand Hip-Hop because I dig MC Chris, and Eminem is a good, but overrated, rapper? The **** outta here.

Right, and what I'm saying is that same classic sound that a lot of those artists you mentioned is still out there today, you don't need to go find trash in Lil Wayne and MC Chris. That sort of stuff is why hip-hop is in the ****ty state that it is today, and deemed a joke by a lot of the guys who made it what it is today.
Reks, Skyzoo, Blu, Elzhi, Royce da 5'9, Talib, Black Milk, Joe Budden, Little Brother, Torea, etc, etc. Running off a list of the legends isn't gonna impress anyone. Get out there and hear the people that are still out there making the music that has made hip-hop what it is over the past 20 years. And yes, if you believe MC Chris is good hip-hop and deserves consideration for greatest white rapper than you don't understand a thing about hip-hop.

See, that's the problem with what you're saying.
Yes, I listen to MC Chris. [Not lil wayne, he's garbage] But I also listen to Blu, Elzhi, Talib Kweli, Black Milk, etc. Not all Hip-Hop has to sound the same, and it doesn't always have to be serious. Why can't we have some fun Hip-Hop every now and then? Why does it all have to be stuff like them?
