Anyway, yes, I've heard them. I borrowed one of their CD's from my brother, and I didn't like it. Aesop Rock is nice with his lyrics.

I hearrrrrd that. Kickin back for two weeks until theatre learnin comes.
Anyway, I don't know why y'all hate Aesop so much. I don't listen to him frequently, but he's pretty sick. At least his voice is more powerful than Em's.

Maybe I'm listening to the wrong Aesop songs though I've got Float, Labor Days, Bazooka Tooth (until I deleted the **** out of it), and None Shall Pass...but I'm not hearing anything that is a powerful voice.

You think Em has a more powerful voice than Aesop?
It's like, a sleepy grizzly bear (Aes) vs. a coked up 12 year old (Em). Now, this may be an even fight if that grizzly bear is REALLY sleepy and that 12 year old can pop some jabs. But altogether, it's still a grizzly bear.

I'll agree Aesop's voice is much more commanding and memorable than Em's.. that's not even a fair comparison. Aesop's whole trademark is a voice that sounds like it's been subjected to years and years of whiskey and cigarette abuse.

And with Eminem, he's got some 12 year old sounding songs I'll agree, but then he has a "kim" where you realize that he probably is as crazy as some of the songs he does. "The Way I Am", etc.

I definitely prefer Aesops voice, though it does sound forced a lot. His lyrics are a little too absurd i agree, especially with some of the more recent stuff.
But i'm surprised you disliked Bazooka tooth the most Alejo, it has the most straightforward rhymes of any aesop album. Eminem seems to regurgitate the same material over and over though. At least on the Relapse, he talks about ****ing lesbians in at least 4 of the songs. |

BT just never caught on with me. Maybe I'll listen to it later, but I distinctly remember hating it.
And for those arguing Aesop, I'd argue this guy is #2 [behind Eminem Bane ha] YouTube - Zion I - Caged Bird Pt. 1 (feat. Brother Ali) Ali is the second guy on. I'd probably put Slug before Aesop, too.
