commercial rap is hollow, it all sounds too similar and its nothing any of us havn't heard before. Underground stuff is where all the talent is....

Well,i guess my question is,what defines a "commercial" rap artist? i hear so much about commercial rap,and personally,i'm just a serious rap fan,so if something is good,then it's good. i hear "commercial rap" thrown around all the time,and some people say nas isn't commercial? I just don't get anymore what defines "commercial" and "real" rap music. cuz i'm sure if (some,not all) underground rappers could have commercial success they would take it in a heartbeat. just something to think about
