I wasn't referring to commercial success, though if I did mis-say that, it's my mistake. I meant that while I find a few of Kanye or 50 Cent's songs appealing, I think that the rap of the 80's and 90's is more original and captivating. I don't see much in the rap that plays on the hip-hop or mainstream/pop radio.

I don't really care for either of them, but Kanye is certainly better in terms of...everything except record sales.
