Idiots everywhere respect him for his emceeing skills when in reality he couldn't rap his way out of a paper bag. But these are the same people that made Lil Wayne popular, so I don't judge too much by them.

lol, wow, one of my favorite albums...
regarding the previous post: I will ,once again, agree with you that Kanye is not the best of lyricists but I wouldn't say he's garbage. Compared to some of Lil Wayne or 50's rhymes, Kanye could be the bloody John Lennon of hip-hop (in terms of writing ability)..here are a few brilliant excerpts. Lil Wayne "Playing with Fire": And I feel caged in my mind it's like my flow is doin time I go crazy inside but when it comes out it's fine like wine Wait Watch See I get betta with time like a watch Osch be gasch posh spice husband Couldn't kick it like I kick it ***** I kicks it 50 cent "21 questions": If I feel off tomorrow would you still love me? If I didn't smell so good would you still hug me? ... And always remember girl we make mistakes, to make it up I do whatever it take I love you like a fat kid love cake You know my style I say anything to make you smile Kanye West "Brand New" (a feature on a Rhymefest track): They don't want to turn they speakers up they claim I ain't deep enough All that talkin' I feed off of - keep it up I'm relaxin' my feet is up - I'm leavin' you haters Like when Shaq left the Lakers just to "Heat" it up I state the stats to stunt - I don't need to front I make black history e'ry day - I don't need a month The survey says - by the streets according Kanye's just important as Michael Jordan Was to the NBA when he was scorin' Ralph Lauren was borin' before I wore him and.. (chorus) Kanye also changes his flow around on the track making it more of an interesting track to listen to than most anything by 50 cent who uses a monotone. |

Kanye West is better in my opinion. 50 Cent is pretty much mainstream, fancy beat and meaningless lyrics, with a few exceptions. Kanye, on the other hand is simply a musical genius. He creates all of his own beats, this makes for a great sound that flows perfectly with his lyrics.
