Dalek-Absence is quintessential Hip Hop.

BMusic 09-15-2008 07:07 PM

Only the first two tracks are worthy of a mention and the album version of 'Regulate' omits the Michael Mcdonald sample. Although this would usually be a good thing, the sample greatly enhanced the track.

I think Anti-Pop Consortium - Arrhythmia is the only hip-hop album where I love every track. Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version comes close though.

Is it really possible that this thread has gone 4 pages without anyone mentioning I, Phantom by Mr. Lif? That album is about as close to perfect as you can get and probably my favorite hip-hop album of all time.

Thanks for that reminder, I was definitely planning on getting this but it somehow slipped my mind until now.

I honestly can't think of any hip hop albums that are "perfect from start to finish", there's always a couple of weaker tracks. But my favourite albums would be.

Madvillain - Madvillainy
Ghostface Killah - Fishscale
Outkast - Stankonia
Jay-z - American Gangster

Piss Me Off 09-22-2008 08:18 AM

You know what hasn't been mentioned yet?
