cLOUDDEAD
They're definitely one of the most creative and least predictable groups out there. There is no over obsesive super elitest genre for them. They're just anything but traditional with blends of electronica and almost everything else.
Sound of a Handshake I've got their self-titled but check out that 15 minutes and see what you think. |
cLOUDED ****ing rule. Probably the most interesting vocals ever.
|
I'm really digging this. I dl'd it awhile back and like it.
|
For the sake of you fuckers posting. How can you resist alternative rap?
Ten http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4SDOGCF0 S/T http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OR77y8ZL |
*BUMP*
Listening to their Peel Session they did a few years ago , good stuff. There should be more experimental Hip Hop getting attention. |
cLOUDDEAD
All three members are part of anticon.
They're different, if you haven't heard of them then I highly recommend them. They fuse hip hop with experimental electronic and rock influences. It's hard to describe them. I'd say Ten is there best album. recommendations: - dead dogs two - physics of a unicycle - rifle eyes Also: why? who is one of the three members of cLOUDDEAD is prettty awesome, and his solo work is even better than cLOUDDEAD's work. Again it's hard to describe the music he makes, sooooo listen now NOW NOW plssss? why? - Elephant Eyelash recommendations: - rubber traits - crushed bones - waterfalls edit: No way did I originally post phrases like 'sooooo listen now NOW NOW plssss?' someone's ****ed around with my post and I'm not fappy >=[ |
thanks for the up's,
downloading now. |
Amazing erm...hip hop? They are definitley one of the weirdest groups ive ever heard and the vocals are insane. i love it.
|
Tried making a thread about them and others like them a couple weeks ago.
Kind of indie/hip hop blend like Why? and Hymies Basement. |
Does anyone have the Dead Dogs Two (Boards Of Canada Remix)?
|
why? is tight.
|
If I'm not mistaken they share members with cLOUDEAD.
|
Is there news of another cLOUDDEAD project due?
It's been four years... |
^According to an interview with Wire and wikipedia, Ten is their last record as cLOUDDEAD.
|
Try Deep Puddle Dynamics if this is your sort of thing. they are a unique Hip Hop band too. I am undecided about cLOUDDEAD but I will certainly give them another listen.
|
^ Ten is unbelievably addictive, considering how minimal it is.
|
I love this band they're just so unique and strange... I just got Ten so far I had only heard their S/T which is fantastical.
|
I recently got the Themselves album The No which is also off the Anticon label and features two of the band members from cLOUDDEAD and I really like it. I find it better than Why?'s solo stuff and almost as good as cLOUDDEAD.
|
I love cLOUDDEAD, and Anticon altogether. Doseone is a genius. And u have to respect them for doing something nobody would have the guts to do.
I have a Mush DVD of one of their tours, and it has cLOUDDEAD, Reaching Quiet (yoni from Why?) this other group which i cant remember off the top of my head, and a set with Boom Bip (producer/dj) and Doseone If nobody has heard the Boom Bip and Doseone CD u should def pick it up. Its called Circle and is full of weird **** that Dose is known for. Thing is....I think BoomBip may be the weirder of the two. |
RadioInactive was the group I couldnt think of.

**** is so old. But So good. I believe that that album has some of Slug's best lyrics. period. Quote:
My Fav song on that cd is, Good People Check. Then prolly Hat In The Wind. |
Their compilation album (self-titled) is so damn relaxing to listen to. Obviously very interesting and abstract aside from that, and paying attention to the lyrics offers a completely different experience, but right now I just need something relaxing and this offers everything I need. Definitely going to need more music like this, for sure.
