Dizzee was one of the original exponents of grime and his new album is superb. I am not a huge Hip Hop fan, but his new album is extraordinary. Any fan of good quality British music should at least give this a listen. Forget the image of a chav pleaser that seems to be associated with him, this is top quality stuff.

What's grime's status outside of the UK? Are there any other countries picking up on it?
I know nothing about the non-chart stuff but I love Dizzee Rascal and I think he fully deserved his Mercury Music Prize. |

The same as our hip hop scene (admittedly small!) no one outside of the UK give's a gnat's chuff about it. America is absolutely saturated with Hip Hop, so they don't need ours! Their loss in the case of Dizzee Rascal!
