Some thread-starters are very casual and open a thread with some vague one-line statement. Olsonic is at the other extreme, with an OP full of detail about his fave "new" rap artists. Anyone have an opinion about his basic contention:-

I'm not especially a rap person. I can get into some of the top artists of the late eighties/early nineties (Public Enemy, De La Soul, Arrested Development, Disposable Heroes) but I couldn't say anything about more modern artists, and I probably wouldn't want to. About the only millennium hip-hop song I like is Jay Z's 99 Problems. After that, just give me the oldies.

I was listening to Lost Boys and LL on my ride home today. I just cant get into new stuff. There are a few exceptions but i dont like the direction its taken. Production is still solid but these youngins are terrible MCs.

^ HaHa! Thanks. That's something on my "Must Try" list - just below "Drinking floor cleaner".
