he was alright, until he sold out in that Gap commercial, it was totally something I expect out of Dr. Dre or LL Cool J, who btw was awesome in the 80's and early 90's.

not so much, never did much out of the ordinary.
Ll Cool j is awesome too though, at his time he was pretty original guy. He just seems like an ol fart now though..

also
N.W.A. (Straight Outta Compton is amazing)
Ice Cube (some stuff, there are a few albums that suck)
A Tribe Called Quest (amazing)
Easy-E (not my fav., but still good)
Wu-Tang Clan (I only like a couple songs by them, but some people just are like bees to honey with them, it varies)
