Tonight I decided a few things...
During a car ride back from snowboarding my friend and I talked about how 50 Cent is really pop rap, kinda like Nelly.
Then we got on to how The older Rap is better. (I'm not talking about really old stuff like Biggie and 2pac, but thats also good). Stuff that Dre used to put out, and Snoop a while ago...that kinda stuff. |

Yeah, most of the old school stuff is much better than this new stuff. However, if you listen to the underground stuff that's being produced nowadays it's just as good as the old stuff. As long as you get away from MTV and listen to the underground then you'll find that hiphop now is still good and evolving. Check the thread I wrote up recommending some underground groups.

I don't like 50 Cent, nor rap, I do like some older rap like 2pac, and I like Ja Rule lol...

Everyone has music in them. Only the talented have the ability to share it with the rest of the world. Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)
