They are definitely in my top 2-3 favorite hip-hop groups. Black Thought (the main MC) is my favorite MC. They're just a great group to listen to, because they combine great instrumental talents with great rapping.

Doesn't Rahzel ride with them? I don't think he's actually a part of the roots tho, is he?

That guy is amazing.

He use to be part of The Roots in the early days, but then went on his own. He does sometimes appear with them, though.

I love their music. And I believe the lead singer, I forget his name is dating this chic named res who is something of a one hit wonder because the first song she came out with was They Say Vision. She even made a video for it. But she hasn't come out with another song since then. Or if she has then I sure don't know about it. ANd I really like he rmusic too. I even bought her album.

I think it was the guy from the roots she was dating. I wish I could remember. Oh crud. Never mind.

but the Roots are cool. Their music has a nice jazzy ring to it. Kinda reminds me of Shania Twain for some reason.
I have no idea as to why i just said that ^

In any case I didn't start listening to them until about 2 or 3 years ago so I can't tell you much about their music or all the songs they've released ebcause I honestly don't know.
