Default Dj Shadow broke my heart

New cd is some crap. He jumped from awesome to mainstream rap garbage barring a few songs. *kills self*

I thought it was quite funny from where he was to go to where he is now. Even in terms of mainstram rap it's a pretty bad album.

Sigh. I know. I hope he realizes this soon.

Everyone has to make money, right? The test will be his next album.... did he use his name and success to be himself or to continue to pump out mainstream nothingness.

I think you all are taking this the wrong way...

if it is so mainstream and he is doing it to sell albums.... then why does no one like it??

it cant be mainstream if everyone is hating on it... he speaks really passionatly about where he went with his new album.... i just recently saw his show in toronto here... and it was amazing...

I was weary of the new album... but the songs live really fit Shadows repetoire, and if you follow Shadow outside of his album releases, you will know that he has constantly been a part of the scene in which he is highlighting mostly on his new album... the bottom line is, this is what HE likes... why should he cater to what his fans "expect"?

all I know is those new songs were wicked live.

Shadow is the best.

The last UNKLE album was sh*t as well.

He needs to team up with James Lavelle again
