Same here, i basically didn't listen to any hip-hop before them, but that album was a whole new world to me. It's still as refreshing today, not many other acts have that same amount of charm.

hip hop just doesn't age well, unless your ATCQ. I want to say i like De La Soul because i understand their influence and thought put into their sound, but honesty i just can't get into them.
