After listening to Deltron 3030, some songs like "At the Helm" and researching a bit about Del, I've gained a lot of respect for him. I've had Full Circle for a long time, but I didn't know his flow is so consistently great and his lyrics have real content and messages that pertain to things in the world that actually matter, as opposed to "bustin' caps" and "fucking bitches."
I would love to see Del live! Hiero came to the Blind Pig during the summer but I was working full-time: talk about regret! |
You know it, man! "At the Helm" is very high on my list of favorite lyrics. Del is the man!
"Wacky World of Rapid Transit" is another favorite. Cool old school freestyle-feel with great everyday storytelling. I feel like I'm listening to a folk song when I hear that song. |

I have Deltron which i like a lot, but i never checked out any of his solo material.
His flow on "things you can do" is raw |
^oh man i love that song, and his flow is pretty sick on that entire album!

isn't it del the del the funkee homosapien.
Ive been dieing to buy deltron 3030 but havent got the chance. |
it is funkee rather than funky yes.
3030 is pretty sweet, I kinda prefer his other stuff though, esspeacially No Need For Alarm. Guess it might be because the whole fictional world in 3030 has a bit of a geeky aspect, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but I prefer his main work for keeping it real if anything else. |

I've got a copy, I can up it for you if you want. |
You guys know there's another 3030 album coming, right?

And yeah, Del's been falling off lately. Eleventh Hour and Funk Man both sucked other than a few highlights. |
God damnit Yoni, you never do anything right. :D
