You can tell the changes between Outkast through each album, especially with Andre. I think they realised with Stankonia that that would be the album where they 'blew up' in terms of media coverage and all that. So the band had to do something to make themselves stand out from the crowd, obviously not thinking their ultra original music wasn't enough. I think Dre proved his point with Stankonia, so toned it down a lot more for Speakerboxxx/Love Below. He's now more stylish than crazy, at least in my eyes. Yes, he still wears clothes that no-one but him would wear, but it's now more of a self expression. And since Dre got into acting he's toned it down a LOT more. He's now almost :GASP!: normal...

my opinion, speakerboxxx' version of "favorite things" is pretty catchy. I also like "she lives in my lap", aquemini and crumblin' herb, oh yeah, so fresh so clean & git up git out git somthin. all have their own vibe.

I think that they did have most of their best songs on it because they were so enjoyable to listen to. |

I agree with Aquemini. Never before have I heard a rap album mean so much! There were fun songs, there were songs with statements and it felt like one of those albums where the stars aligned for the group (no astrology pun intended)!!!!

I didn't think the best songs were on Speakerboxx/Love Below by any stretch of the imagination... Perhaps some of the most popular songs were on there, but not their best. There are also very well known songs on Stankonia, and IMO that is a far superior album to Speakerboxxx/Love Below.
