Default Looking forward to Idlewild?

Is anyone here looking forward to the new Outkast album Idlewild? I've got some info on it for all you Outkast fans out there...

The official statement is that the album is basically a soundtrack for the upcoming Outkast film, also titled Idlewild. But thankfully it's not your usual run of the mill soundtrack-the official word from Big Boi states "Of course we're going to have songs pertaining to the movie, but then some songs are genuine Outkast songs, meaning the funk music that we have been making, just with a 30's feel to it." Also it will be a return to the Outkast boys as a duo, unlike their last album Speakerboxxx/Love below which was a 2 disc album, one side featuring the Jazz and Funk of Andre 3000 and the other featuring pure rap from Big Boi. Of course, this is a big hit for the true Outkast fans like me out there, as the double disc has been their worst album so far. Which isn't to say it was bad-it's just their other albums were so much better.

Here's some more information broken up for your tiny human brain to read...

Began Recording: September 2003

Quarter released: First quarter. Which means January-March, so it looks like it will be released in late March.

First Single: Big Boi's "The Train" and the duo's "Idlewild Blues" Will be released simultaneously.

The duo are also saying to expect the unexpected with this album, which is always the case for ANY Outkast album. And also speaking about the rumours that this will be 'kast's last album, Big said "One of us going off and doing something else is not a breakup, it's just a sign of growing up. We don't have to be in the same room to make music. I'm Outkast till I die."

So there you are, all the info you need to know about the upcoming Idlewild. Now what are your thoughts on the album?
