I believe they had potential in the earlier days and up to 'Where is the Love?" But everything since then has just been the same commercial crap regurgitated again and again. It's a shame really. |

Despite what are colleague here just said and i quote : They have a few catchy songs but nothing mind blowing.
I thing there really good, i am a big fan of Black Eyed Peas, there last hit : The time is really sick, it has a great beat, i hope they come with fresh new song like they use too. So i wish them good luck in the future, and stop arguing and just listen to there songs . Have a nice day |

Black eyed peas can make really good songs, then some songs aren't that good, even tho they suck live I still like them
Tho if the Black Eyed Peas would participate in the American Idol trials I don't think any of them would get trough, maybe Fergie cause she's is hot.. |

I figured I would go into detail and explain why I like Black Eyed Peas so much and why they are my most played artist.
Their first two albums give off a tribe called quest vibe. These are my favorite songs off of behind the front and bridging the gap. They basically talk about how much better rappers they are because they are more original and don't sell out to talk about guns, bitches and getting money. They decided to go in a different direction to gain more mainstream success and also added Fergie to the group. I really didn't like Elephunk. In my opinion it is the worst album they ever put out but it went 2xplatinum. Thanks to the singles "where is the love?" "let's get it started" "hey mama" and "Shut Up" The wanted to continue the same formula of putting out one feel good song while releasing other mainstream type songs. They got rid of their hip hop cred and went to hip pop instead. I didn't mind their second attempt at mainstream success as much. Monkey Business went 3x Platinum. It was a more solid album overall imo. Of course it wasn't as great as their first two albums but I came to terms that they left that era behind. this song was my personal anthem when I first picked up the cd because i'm such a cocky bastard Their next album which is their fifth one was inspired because Will.I.Am spent some time in the aussie electro scene. I ****ing love this album the most. The E.N.D. It actually introduced me to electronica and made me more interested in finding out more about the genre and getting into more artists. Along with me loving the album they decided to release a bunch of remixes from different artists doing different styles called the invasion series. I play those remixes so much it's crazy. Even though they switched their style up a bit they still had one positive song in the "where is the love?" vein called "One Tribe" they also did another social commentary song called "now generation" but I usually skip over that song because I just don't like it. Finally their 6th album came out and I love that they decided to keep on the electronica type path. My fave song off this last album is this one but I could listen to the whole album and never get tired of it. I do tend to skip over The Time though. It's my least favorite song. sorry about the quality of that and it sounds a bit sped up so that youtube doesn't delete it.

Black Eyed Peas are not for me, don't really like most of their material. "I Got A Feeling" is the only song I've taken a liking to because it's catchy and uplifting in bad times. Just think a lot of their music is quite souless and weird and Fergie is the only one that can actually sing!
