Tired of 50

Alright, Im not really tryin to hate, but i really am over 50 cent being portrayed as one of the best mc's. I really am tired of listening to the strangely familiar beats that he releases with each song, and not to mention, his less than lively lyrics. What about talib...

anticipation 10-19-2005 07:16 PM

Whoever said that 50 was one of the best mc's should be shot 9 times.

Hype8 10-19-2005 11:07 PM

I don't think anyone in their right minds would say 50 is one of the greatest Mc's, he's only getting the most airplay. Groupies, obsessive teenage girls, kids who want to be "gangster", etc are the ones jocking 50 that bad.

shandapanda 10-20-2005 02:43 AM

i don't really think ever i've heard someone praising him for his 'wonderful rapping skills'

yaay talib rules!!

I don't think anyone is saying he's the best. Now Talib is.

krisjoycheese 10-20-2005 10:49 AM

i was just tired of reading things in magazines and looking at the charts, its just so strange to me how people actually are buying his albums. Straight pop now.

It's because people can't venture past mtv or the radio. Also most people these days only care about the beat and dance factor, not about the message or lyrics.

i was tired of that stuttering *ss sh*tty "gangster" as soon as heard "in da club"

dude you have to admit that song made the ladies go crazy when you were actually in a club, so I can't hate on that song, it got me some ass too many times

Fenixpunk 10-20-2005 01:16 PM

word, my wife still shakes her ass when that song comes on, good enough for me :pimp: (thats the only song we both can listen to by him)

adidasss 10-20-2005 04:09 PM

i actually bought that album....*runs and hides in shame*

royal 10-20-2005 06:37 PM

hell yeah i'm tired of 50. he's not the best rapper, nas is. he's even not the best rapper in g unit, lloyd banks is. how is he consider the best rapper when he's not even better than somebody in his group.

jbal14 10-20-2005 08:14 PM

50 shouldnt even be called a rapper he is a pop artist all his music is pop NOT rap a TRU rapper would be 2pac Em Biggie and there is many GOOD underground rapper for example :immortal technique, brotha lynch, tech n9ne

Have you heard 50s old mixed tapes back when he was an unknown in NYC? They were pretty good actually.

HuKitKat 10-21-2005 06:59 AM

OMG, in some of the other forums I visit, 50 is the subject of more than 50% of the threads. People really think he's hot! Dont get me wrong, commercially he does the trick, but his music is not lyrically challenging or thought provoking.

thats prolly cuz he wasnt all about throwin music out there to make money, he actually cared about his music then.

krisjoycheese 10-21-2005 10:26 AM

i do think that the beat is important however...i you are going to use practically the same beat for each song that you put out...thats not called talent or even a hot beat...thats called being lazy and rich and not caring about the music...

SaucyFlow999 10-21-2005 01:16 PM

Yo, I understand people hatiin of 50 because it's true, he is really a pop star now...He aint the greezy rapper people once thought he was, when he made Wanksta and Get Rich or Die Tryin' and I dont relly think he ever was...but he is probb the smartest rapper out there. He markets himeself better then anyone else and has created a following for himself, and thats why he makes so much dough and his albums are gonna go platnium no matta how good or bad it is. He makes music that most people want to here, and thats why hes guarenteed to make money. He has lost his respectability yeah, but hes still makin more then anyone else that might be mentioned that are better then him..and theres a lot of them.

Urban Hat€monger ? 10-21-2005 01:16 PM

I`m not sure what I should call him

Mumbles or Half Dollar

adidasss 10-21-2005 02:25 PM

*screams* FITTY!!!!! FITTY I LOVE YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

TheBig3 10-21-2005 02:38 PM

If he wasn't shot 9 times, no one would give a **** about him.

he is the worst lyricsist with nelly and the other mainstream rappers he doesnt have any good lyrics maybe he had some back when he underground but now he doesnt care about the music all he cares about is the money with clothing line, book, and a movie thats what is bringing down hip hop artist like him that dont care abou the music and r just in it for the money

Hype8 10-21-2005 06:03 PM

I see some 50 fans have been avoiding this thread :o:

i am a lady and i DO NOT go crazy when any of his songs come on...i actually just stop and walk off the floor...it kills it for me

jbal14 10-22-2005 02:31 PM

thank you^^ that shows how much he sucks now

royal 10-22-2005 08:19 PM

is anybody going to see his movie, (get rich or die trying) we all know he sucks at rapping, maybe he's a better actor than rapper

Seeking 10-22-2005 08:28 PM

Hah, I doubt it. Generally, rappers gone actors are not too great, in my opinion.

Hype8 10-22-2005 11:08 PM

^

Exceptions are Will Smith & Mos Def. Mos is a fine actor and everyone knows about Smith.

jbal14 10-23-2005 06:13 PM

im gonna download his movie instead of going to go see it at a theather

one woman saying she doesn't dance to his music confims his lack of talent.

adidasss 10-23-2005 09:37 PM

you know why i have to give fitty a certain amount of respect and why i sorta like him despite his last album being terrible? because of one verse: "i've been shot 9 times but i don't walk with a limp"....you gotta love him for that...

anticipation 10-24-2005 07:50 AM

^thats because half his body is made of metal.

he's the Hip Hop Tinman

adidasss 10-24-2005 10:09 AM

no, in the sense that he dumped on gangsta posers who walk with a limp which i always laugh at....as well as the pantyhoes(sp?) they wear on their heads or bandanas....why do ganstas dress the same? it's always those baggy pants with a football shirt and a cap or bandana or pantyhoes....some versitility wouldn't hurt....

krisjoycheese 10-24-2005 12:42 PM

Doesn't his movie seem oddly similar to 8 mile? Just a bit? And I am positive that there are many other ladies that agree with me about dancin to 50

HuKitKat 10-24-2005 01:42 PM

**still sick and tired of 50**

hookers with machineguns 10-24-2005 03:34 PM

I'm getting tired of the tired-of-50-cent threads. And, the movie? If he gets shot two or three more times, I am so there.

brisbane_mule 10-24-2005 08:47 PM

50 is still selling a lot of cds. but he's past his prime i think. the movie will top it off.

SaucyFlow999 10-25-2005 09:03 AM

His following in the footsteps of Eminem....except for the fact Eminems second album was better then the first...we'll see what happens witt 50's next few albums but as I said before, no matta what the quality is, it's gonna go double platnium wittout a doubt. Think about it, even rap fans who aint even like his flow and lyrics pay more attention to him then any other rapper...LOOK AT ALL THE THREADS THAT ARE ABOUT HIM!! Even if its saying how much you dont like him, it still means hes got your attention better then anyone else in the rap game. Hate on his lyrics and ****, but don't hate on how smart he is. He's a businessman now, he's not a rapper. And dont ever compare him to Nelly and them because Nelly never had a good album to begin witt and isnt even close to 50's popularity and smarts.

Dancing Jester 10-25-2005 10:16 AM

I didnt think that anyone really thought that 50 was a great mc--he's hip-'pop' and that's fine. Does he really need a movie though?

jbal14 10-25-2005 06:36 PM

i agree 50 is smart and a REALLY good business man but he is killing hip-hop with his music
