^I like her.
However, I hate to say it but I think this solidifies Del's championship in my personal contest of "rapper who used to be great but is now terrible"
What happened to the poor guy?

Hopie's alright I guess, she seems to always rap over whack beats as far as I can remember. I saw her live @ Paid Dues in 2010. i was trying to find her debut album before i went, but i couldn't find anything... i can't remember the name. The Diamond Dame sounds right, but that's a guess.

that beat's weak, sounded like some cheap Neptunes (and they're not that good to begin with) and the drums were so cheesy

Del did better than I thought he would, but I dunno if he'll ever be dope again. sucks, he's one of my all-time favorites.

I like all Del's work, and I didn't come out of his verse disappointed. I don't know why he's lost his appeal to a lot of people. Me and my friends don't seem to mind. We understand it's been almost a decade since Deltron 3030 and he's been around for 20 years and times change. He's doing just fine in that it's a pasttime for him that he enjoys doing. He let's us listen. He does what he wants. People telling him he's old, people telling him he fell off... he addresses in his songs on the last few albums ... he does it for him and there's still folks out there lovin Del.
He's not doing this to pay rent, he's not answering to anyone but himself. It's him. I pay attention to everything he does and I'm still a big fan. Maybe you haven't had a chance to let different styles sink in.... I'm lucky enough to be from the Bay Area that I get to see him and the rest of Hiero crew live pretty regularly... so that probably also means I got a hometown hero bias for him.

I thought girl was pretty cute and she can rap for sure. Del doesn't say anything "mess with dell your tongue get swel" and then he throws in his usual bs about cyberdroids or something.

His swag needs work too, that naruto bandana/durag combo is disgusting. The beat is weird, it's all annoying noises that come togethor and work okay.

I like her though, shes a sweetie

I busted out laughing at how much she sounds like Tila Tequila but better lyrics though

Video seems to be kind of about being a normal, everyday person and imagining themselves in rapstar personas.

Del seems to work taking out the trash at a mechanics shop or something. His 'style' seems to go with his 'work', but in reality, Del's style/fashion is very unique and independent. Wears what he wants. Doesn't care for fashion I bet. I don't think Del cares about this swag concept.

@DJ When I first saw her, I thought of Tila Tequila too. Stereotyped her, but dropped it by the end of the first verse. :P

And I'm gonna defend the beat, too. I don't hear it as a bunch of weird annoying noises that come together to sound okay. I feel the rhythm. The beats sick. It's got a few layers. Did you catch the very end of the video where the dudes playing the beat or whatever on his pad? The music goes on its own. The outro is clean.

I understand he does it for himself, I know all that, he says it in his recent music and he's explained it in interviews. That doesn't mean he doesn't suck anymore. His flow's gotten weaker, his lyrics just aren't nearly as impressive, and his beat selection's lame anymore. look back at his dope records... Both Sides of the Brain? No Need For Alarm? Deltron?

Del should hook back up with Domino, I think

but I don't care about all the excuses you're giving him... "some people still like him," "he's doing what he wants," "he's not doing it for money"

you know who else was a great, is doing what they want now, and isn't any good anymore? Kool Keith

and the beat has more than 1 layer... big deal. incredibly cheesy drum pattern, the blooping "space" sound effect sounds like cheap Neptunes... feels like i've heard this beat before.

yeah @ matious, she is cute. real cute. i wanted to like her a lot just because of that.

^ adorable

The Neptunes? What's that? The only Neptunes I know is an old 60s Hanna Barberra cartoon.

Other than that, you're fine on your thoughts on Del. I hear you out. But I love his new beats just as much or more than his classics, except 3030. Dan the Automator beats are untouchable. But I don't see the problem with the beat. It makes me rock out.

You don't like the sort of dubstep influence on the sound? I noticed a lot of dubstep influence melding into what hip-hops got going. That incredibly cheesy drum pattern makes me rock out. The blooping space beat seals the deal. I think it's hot.

Also, Del's lyrics in the track hit very hard. I haven't seen him rap that fast in a while, have you? And then he slows it down for the dumbos and lays down a couple more savvy bars. I would rather listen to this song, Space Case, than anything off No Need For Alarm again. Except Catch a Bad One. That's the sickness on the bassline.

You really havent heard of the neptunes?

#grindin

I don't get why Del isn't hooking up with the premiere producers...has he ever explained that?

It's frustrating, he would sound so good over some expensive beats
