chino xl
r there any other chino xl fans here? in my opinion, his raps have the best lyrics and euphemisms of ne1 out there.

I do.
He had a song featured on the Kiss of the Dragon soundtrack. I don't remember the name of it, but it's what got me listening to him. |
I dig Chino.
He could've had a decent career had he not got on Pac's bad side. Too bad really... |

And the way the rap industry is today, no matter what happeend in the past he can still make a fortune if he really wanted to. |

The majority of the drones will never give Chino a chance regardless of whether Pac is dead or not. One line in a song essentially ended Chino's career. Caveman logic. |

I imagine that most people haven't heard Chino's stuff and probably wouldn't care what the lyrics were so long as the beats are tight. Case in point, ICP has crap lyrics and too many people love them. Yeah Chino would be a success. |

It's been 10 years since Pac's death and Chino has done nothing but flounder in the underground. I think you underestimate the hypnosis that 2Pac still holds over the average rap fan. Chino had a bright future as an up-and-coming MC, ran afoul of the reigning "king of Rap", and has been relegated to the underground ever since. It happens. Case in point... Canabis. LL stopped that dudes career dead in it's tracks. He had to join the army for Christ’s sake |

I underestimate the intelligence of people today. Do you honestly think that today's geenration of rappers like 50 cent know anything about Chino, cause they sure as heck aren'y better than Chino. And do you think that the audience rap reaches out to (mostly teenagers) will remember anything abuot what CHino said ina previos song? And do you honestly believe that most teenagers todya that listent or ap pay that much attention to lyrics? hell no. Case in point, Mike Jones made millions saying his name over and over again. |

I think you are OVERestimating the intelligence of people today if you think that Chino will ever be welcomed back by the average hip hop fan. The very premise of your argument supports that fact. He was making a run for it in the early 90s. Radio play... guest spots on established artists albums... videos being shown on MTV... He could have been the next Xzibit. But once the beef with 2Pac was established the mainstream wouldn't touch him. Plain and simple. 97.6 percent of so called hip-hop fans are mindless drones. |
in never stopped liking a rapper cause another rapper dissed him. that would be ignorant. Jay-Z and Nas were dissing each other and i didnt stop choosing one over the other even though i like Nas better but i still like Jay.
