It just never seemed like something people compliment in rap to me. If anything I've seen it more often said that people like a lazy delivery in a rapper, like Lil Wayne.
That being said, I value flow and writing waaaay over a rapper's "energy". Another genre of music it'd be a different story.

Lil wayne goes hard. That exact wording you see in comments everywhere, i don't know what ur talking about. Im serious google lil wayne "goes hard" and you'll see what i mean.
Anyway, thats just a corny term. And flow definetly has to do with the energy, as well as delivery and live shows. Example would be like ODB. Most of his lyrics were barely coherent but he had great energy. |
