My Theory - ish thing
 

I have not yet found a hard punk rocker chick that sings well yet... but singing's probably the least important part of punk. The actual music and the words are what make punk, like you must admit the guy from rancid doesn't have the nicest voice but their music is soo kick ass it doesn't matter.so it's maybe not so much they suck at singing... maybe it's that they can't play or write?

well.. a lot of them can actually sing but they choose to sing a different way to suit the kinda of music (thats how I see it). I like the Distillers and I think Brody is pretty cool. The way she sings is original imo.
About the Rancid singer, I find he has a cool voice :P
But I gotta agree, its about the music and the lyrics. Without good guitar parts (and drums) and "cool" lyrics, its boring

there are some awsome "chick" singers out there. i suggest you look deeper into the "movement". by the way, im going to "use" these "inverted commas" to a ridiculous extent. as you can see

Another band with a chick singer thats is so hot looking (at least in the pictures I've seen) and still rocks out is Bloodlined Calligraphy's new frontwoman. Amazing. She looks like she'd be a cheerleader and her growl is unbelievable.

Depends if they can actually sing, most females cant sing a note in tune in the music industry wheres theres people like me who ( Im not trying to be conceited) have some talent. So no, girls cant sing punk, because the ones you hear in the public eye suck.
Oh and have you read the post replied to your email that says that HILARY DUFF is a punk chick. I think they need a reality check.
