What the hell happened to punk music?
Please note:i'm talking about bands that play themselves off as punk to sell records, but the occasional punk music that has a reason to be.
I was shuffing through "nevermind the bollocks..."today, along with "give em enough rop" and was suprised that the drumming was good With did punk drummers decided that the would stop playing hard and would stop playing hard and would rather play like they have snare-torettes? Ps.(if you don't what any of the references are to, please don't bother responding to the thread) |
What are you talking about?

Great things happened to punk music. Post punk, riot grrrl, what have you |
The poor grammar and sentence structure made me think this person was from another country but then I saw "Virginia" as the location and all made sense.
For real, if you think Sex Pistols are a good band you have nothing to say about anything. |

The Pistols were definitely a fascinating phenomenon, and McClaren a fascinating fellow. No matter your opinion on them I think we can all agree that they were in a way one hell of a—successful—social experiment of a band.

At least 50% of everything anybody says about Sex Pistols is true but it doesn't matter cause they were the ultimate right place right time band to be legendary and supremely important.

And I wouldn't say that making headline news, topping the charts, and making coin was a failed experiment. |
