So?
The Clash progressed, Sadinista...case in point.
They always reserved their right to control what they did, despite pressure from CBS to write "hit" songs...how's that selling out?

They progressed from London Calling's flirtations with reggae to Sadinista's explorations of dub and rap to Combat Rock's... arena rock. I don't really consider that much of a progression. I think Strummer might have wanted The Clash to continue to expand into new musical territory, but Mick Jones just wanted to be a big arena rock band.

In any case, I wasn't being too serious.

Default Clash Of The Titans

The Clash were the real deal back in the late seventies, early 80s.

You can have that hack Johnny Rotten.

The only Clash album that I have is the somewhat newly released London Calling with a bonus cd and bonus dvd. I've tried to find more but never could, places around here suck.

It depends which version of the album you own.

The American release of the album has the single version on it , but doesn`t have the original album version than was on the British release of the album.

I didn't like the Mescaleros much. The Clash were great. Some great basslines too.
