I love social d, probobly my favorite band of all time. The mike Ness solo stuff is all pretty cool, he plays a song with Brian Setzer of stary cats fame. He also does a careter familey cover, bob dylan cover, and hank williams cover all on his cheating at solittare album. Mike Nes does lots of carter familey covers acctually.

Social D rocks, and I am always up for listening to them......they put me in a good mood......and they're really good driving music =) Anyone who likes social d, you are alright in my book.

This probably isn`t going to be too popular but that`s never stopped me before

To me Social Distortion are one of those bands that just seem to be around forever that have never done anything spectacular and never will do either.

They just seem to be one of those bands that just plod along being average.

I don`t hate them , I don`t like them either.

I guess the one word that would sum them up for me is 'meh'

they found their sound and stuck to it, i give them alot of props to that not many bands can pull of a career lasting this long without having to change their style to keep up with the latest trends. Their first album and last album are simply Social D nothing more, nothing less. kinda like the Ramones or any other band that finds a sound and sticks to it throughout the entire existence of the band.

I do see your point but I guess for me if i do like a band that don`t change their sound I need something about that sound to be different from anything else in the first place. Take bands like The Ramones , AC/DC & Motorhead. The Ramones have Joeys unmistakable voice & 60s pop influences , AC/DC have Angus Youngs guitar playing , Motorhead have Lemmy`s voice & bass playing. Something that distinguishes them from everybody else.To me Social Distortion don`t have that.To me they just sound like generic punk rock, which I got bored of a long long time ago.

I think social D kick ass they have mike ness's kick ass vocals and guitar playing and their lyrics remind me of cruising with my mates blasting mommys little monster down highway 101 going to a show. sweet sweet summer....
