Does anyone here have the new CD Splinter or has heard it? I'm thinking about picking it up, but I was wondering if it was any good. I like the single Hit That off the album, but that's all I've heard.

I've heard the single and it sounds like all the other Offspring stuff...nothing new, so I doubt I'll pick it up. But tell me if it's any good if you get it.

I heard a lil bit of it(2 songs)...i assume its good considering thier other stuff

i love offspring! the new the old and the ugly lol :) it's meant to be really good! i'm gonna get it after christmas if my parents didn't get it for me!

Smash was by far the best Offspring CD. But I like Conspiracy of one too.

i got the new one for christmas... it's really good... it's like there old stuff....

Splinters 10x better than CO1 - finally they are listenin to their fans and trying to go back to their "Smash" days lol.

Hit thats a brilliant song.....and Spare the the Details but Hit That vid is so funny.... but theres no dexter in it at all :(

Splinter's great! I didn't like the intro to Hit That but Cant Get My Head Around You's an awesome song :)

Yeah, I like them, their kool but I prefer their old stuff rather than the new stuff.

I dunno, I never really liked them, they're kind of repetitive, just doesn't seem like they put a lot of thought into their lyrics or songs. they're a fun band to listen too sometimes though, but that's probably for more nostalgic reasons than anything.

well they say they think music is better than lyrics so that's probably why you say that.

Whichever album had The Kids Aren't Alright. I love these guys. Dexter's voice is amazing. Him and Davey are the only ones who still do the "whoa" like Danzig did back in the day. Good band although there most recent release wasn't too good. But other than that, great band.

no question about it....smash was definetly their bast album...and then it was all down hill from there to the worst one which would be conspiracy of one

i heard offspring started playing when they were in college, kinda as a joke at first. then they got big, and you know the rest.

never really got into them. lke a couple of tunes though.

I will say that "hit that" has a pretty solid rock riff. Alot of people hate them because they started punk and aren't any more (and punks are really anal-retentive about that) but its a good song none the less. Still, pick up smash before anything else.

yeh same, i never really got into offspring, i sort of felt nausious after pretty fly (for a white guy) and havent listened sing, that song screwed up their album completely...it was so annoying :crazy:

I love the Offspring but cant recomen an album sorry.My Favorite song though is Pretty fly for a white guy (Dont know whats the exat title of it though.)

that song just has something that seems to piss me off....i'll figure it out one day

The offspring, its been debated, have sold out. I personally love them but I've never really listened to them much before about a year or two ago. I don't like much fast punk like nofx (I do like bad religion) but I love the offspring. I like some surf too. So what do ya guys think.

They didn`t sell out.

I remember them being **** in the early 90s too

they have sold out with the release of their new cd however their old stuff like americana is really good.
