You mean you like the older stuff better? Or are you talking about what the people on the last page were talking about.
In the first case I quite agree with you!

I've always had mixed feelings about the offspring. Sometimes i hate them, other times i like them.
I listened to Americana for a week or so after i got it, and haven't picked it up since.

I have had a period in which I listened to their CD's day and night. It's less now, but I still like it every once in a while, but not too often anymore, just listened to it too much I guess.

Their old stuff was fantastic. Smash is such a great album. But anything past Americana is definitely modern "rock" are as rock as the attempt at making rock music is these days. I think they let themselves get a little too commercialised and sucked in to making music everyone else wanted to hear. |

Smash is good but I prefer their Nitro releases.

"Americana" will always be my favorite. I feel like Dexter was at his best lyrically during that album. Especially the title track.
Some of my favorite lines: "My future's determined by thieves, thugs, and vermin..." "My rights are denied by those least qualified, trading profit for pride...." That song makes me feel anti-everything Almost (and I emphasize "almost") touches Graffin. |
