I’m gonna tell y’all something about Smells Like Teen Spirit

That song is ****ing magic that transcends so far ahead of anything else by Nirvana and by everything by a PJ SG and AiC by so far and if you don’t get that then **** you because you are so ****ing lost

If it were just the guitar hook it would transcend
If it were just the vocals it would transcend
It it were just the lyrics in the form of a poem it would transcend

Two seconds into that song and it is game over. Game the **** over.

Then from the first line “load up on guns...”

It’s the ****ing anthem. It’s the ****ing genius. It’s bigger than the sum of its parts. It’s bigger than Nirvana. It’s bigger than Kurt’s suicide. It’s pure energy. Perfectly defines a time and place and is eternal.

You can come as you are, but nothing else matters.

Agreed. It's a shame it's been overplayed so much and been blunted to the extent it has. There's a reason it changed mainstream rock overnight and brought a nihilistic mental disorder paradigm to normies listening to Motley Crue.

Smells Like Teen Spirit was a strange case, it was never thought to be the hit. DGC released it as the first single more as hype for Come as You Are, which they predicted was going to be the big smash hit and SLTS would just be the appetizer to the main course.

I am guessing you mean Rick Beato, and his series What Makes This Song Great, where he looks at a song and breaks it down. That one was pretty decent.

I preferred the one he did on Heart-Shaped Box
