That's quite a theatrical performance, in a kind of Alice Cooper style.
What I found particularly interesting was the audience reaction: most girls were enjoying the fun of being safely scared, the way children do at a fun fair. Just one or two of the front row (approx 1:50 mins) were sending pretty clear body-language signals, "Don't involve me in this please". It made me wonder what story they had to tell, because laughing about Jack The Ripper is fun until suddenly one dark night, it is not... Personally, after the video, I had the urge to listen to John Martyn's song,"I don't want to know about evil, I only want to know about love". I don't think I'll ever acquire the punk attitude of MB bad-boys, Elph and Rubber Soul. That line in bold:

Yes, you're right, Elph.
I remember his debut into politics, which had everyone baffled at the time - it was such a complete change of focus. I had no idea that he killed himself.

This is an extract that I wrote up a few months ago..feels like years ago now...on gardeners corner.an ex member though, many of us got ..locked out..... Feb 2021 from Gardeners Corner a Forum in the UK... You will find it very hard to like any of these tracks..My bestest mate the late Rosi Pink and I would regularly go to South Norwood Public Halls(Stanley Halls) for Gigs and this particular night it was the terrifying Screaming Lord Sutch... at 14 years old we thought it a terrible gig..frightening, to never repeat that kind of 'artist' again...Joe Brown and the Bruvvers, The Yardbirds with Eric Clapton as great memories, more that, I cannot remember and then Wallington Public Halls where many famous artists appeared in the 60's mad times but great times.. but never will Screaming Lord Sutch be forgotten https://stanleyarts.org/our-history |

Either this or Age of Quarrel is the best 80s NYHC album.

Scottish punk band I stumbled across whilst watching an episode of the quiz show The Chase which one of the band members was taking part in. Thought I would check them out and they are pretty cool. Teenage Fanclub meets Twin Atlantic! |
