Motordamn. That time Motorhead and The Damned got thrown into a studio together as a supergroup so drunk they were falling off their chairs and recorded the most raucous song of either of their careers that demands to be blasted at top volume at least ten times in a row. Possibly a top 10 rock song.

I love me some Damned but I'm just not over the moon about their discography. "New Rose" was one of my earliest punk loves at 14. But that Motordamn track is the aural equivalent of bouncing up and down till you puke.

Fish Inn by The Stalin

This is a curious Japanese punk record with Sonny Sharrock and Bill Laswell helping out. Maybe kind of like The Rolling Stones meet Black Flag...

Mid eighties stuff

The flying lizards are amazing, but by far my favourite among their vocalists is Deborah Evans-Stickland with her ice cold posh English accent. If you haven't, you should watch interviews with her, they're priceless

Yeah it's amazing. And in interviews she has this kind of deadpan haughty manner, combined with her voice its absolute gold

This interview I can't
interviewer: 'does it strike you as odd that you're a lead vocalist who can't sing?'
Deborah: 'no not at all, a lot of people in pop music can't sing'
there's some talk about the production too
And there's another interview when she's old in which she consistently refers to David as 'the other bloke'

They appear to have stolen their sound from Gang of Four, but still nice

One of the best post-punk albums of 2020.
