No they won't. They'll always be one of the worst because they took so many influences, watered them down for mass consumption, and then combined them in an artless form of poseur rock that only succeeded in crafting a few admittedly great radio singles. They're like the Nickelback of non-post-grunge radio alternative.

Smashing Pumpkins has one good song. That's "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" the rest of it sounds like someone's taking a ****.

Smahing Pumpkins are alright. Mellon Collie was great. I've only heard a few Nickelback songs. THey're OK. I like them more than a lot of other modern crap that gets played on pop stations.

Talk about hyperbole! They aren't the best or worst. They have a handful of really good songs.

Such an overrated song. Even when I was too young and nervous to call the band out I secretly never understood what all the fuss was over that song. It just sounds like their attempt to rip off Nirvana. They've had a few songs I dig, but "Zero" is easily their best.

I was responding to someone calling them one of the best big alternative bands. Considering how few actually big, legitimately alternative bands there have been over the years it's a relatively small pool of bands, and Smashing Pumpkins are definitely one of my least favorite.

See, Bullet was the song for me. I can't stand Billy Corgan vocals and that is the one song where I find his vocals tolerable. I might even say enjoyable. But the rest of there stuff I can't stand his voice.
