I like quite like Suicide, but I can't say I'm crazy about them.
Might have to take that straight to the Unpopular Opinions thread.

Indeed.

Meh. I love me some Suicide, but they don't have three classic records that all sound unique and are therefore all essential. They also never recorded "Loose", "Fun House", or "Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell".

Raw Power might be my favourite album for driving. Going really fast with the windows down while playing it ridiculously loud feels so ****ing good.

Frankie Teardrop and Che are huge for me, but after a little more thought I agree with you guys.

I think that honor might go to The Modern Lovers' debut. "Roadrunner" is driving perfection. Saxon is also solid.

Never heard the Modern Lovers before. Not bad, but kinda tame.
On the other hand it probably kinda fits american driving velocities.

They're what pop punk would have been in the early seventies. They've got a fun simplicity about them that's just addictive though. But they're more than just some power pop group...

I mostly dig that for the drumming, but I think it has a low key, weird vibe that feels kinda like a more conventional form of VU's "Sister Ray".

When in the mood for some groovy 70s pop "Electric Warrior" is my number one choice. Incidentally also some of my favourite driving music.
