Rezillos is a band that doesn't fit in a pigeon hole well. I've seen them described as Punk, Pop Punk, New Wave, late-Glam, Comic Book Punk, etc. For me labels doesn't matter too much. It's all about their music. It's fast pace and fun. They borrow from Rock's past revved it up a bit. Chuck Berry riff with Punk chords, kinda like a Vintage car turned into a hot rod with a suped up engine.

I don't like to rate albums, if I had to I rate it 💖 💖 💖 💖 💖 out of a possible five. There is a lot of humour in the lyrics. Some of the hottest riffs and leads on guitar. One of the best bass albums of all time. The album is killer diller.

The Rezillos - Flying Saucer Attack

I probably post move videos. You can discuss the album, the band or post a YouTube video of them or ignore this whole thread completely.

I just listened to a few little snippets but they sound pretty good. I'll have to give the whole album a listen.

Enjoyable. Reminds me of something Creamcheese would post.

It's an easy album to listen to cause I like everything on the album, there's no filler imo. If you haven't heard it before, they do a few cover songs too so there some familiar material along with original material. It cracks me up the way they do the cover songs too.

I take that as a compliment, Creamcheese knows his stuff and has good taste in music. I wish I knew as much. "He's so far above us—we're like ropes on the Goodyear blimp."

Great. fucking. times.

Sounds cool, tbh I always kind wish I could been part of that back then.

The Rezillos did a live version of "Sculpture" on The Old Grey Test Whistle. Eugene Reynolds said when he did the show he sang to a brick wall, and to get through the act he pretended he was singing to a live crowd. Later it dawned on him he was being televised and millions were watching. Probably why he said "Hello countless millions." to an empty sound stage ~6:06.

The Rezillos Complete Old Grey Whistle Test 26.9.78. (3 songs)

I saw The Rezillos play at a favorite (now defunct) small venue several months ago in 2015.
Brought my video camera to the show but didn't get to use it, as the band only wanted still photos to be taken. Great show! They were even better than I thought they'd be and I'd definitely go to see them perform live again if I get the chance.

Cool beans, decent you got the chance to see them live. I would love to see them live.

Jo Callis is the guy wearing a kilt, playing guitar in this video. He joined up with Human League a while after he left The Rezillos. He the one playing a Les Paul covered in grey painted and singing back-up vocals in the Fascination video.
