I know this band and self-titled release have been discussed a fair bit on the forum beforehand, but I think it's only right that they have their own thread. After all, Algiers is my favourite album of the year so far.
I wasn't sure where to put it but since post-punk is probably the main genre on display, this will have to do.

I saw this getting a lot of hype on some of the music pages I follow on Facebook. I sampled a couple of things but the sound didn't appeal to me. Based on what people are saying maybe I should actually give the album a listen though. How would you describe it?

Upbeat industrial, or downbeat post-punk.
![]() It's pretty groovy as well. Like, I could dance to it in some weird way.
