As for my opinion on it, don't really care, if that's how pits are in a particular scene that's how they are, participate or don't.

I'm in that category of people who don't like being touched much at shows, I mean I go to enough punk shows that I tolerate it/know it's going to happen, but I will never join a pit and almost never help a crowd surfer unless I absolutely have no choice.
