I know right. I'm 130 lbs. I'm like a ragdoll. I literally would just jump into the fray and get thrown around like a piece of paper.

Scariest pit ever was at an Emmure show (I know Emmure but I was invited and the tickets were free). There were just way too many people. Like 5x the amount of people that should be in the space, all hardcore dancing, with no regard for anyone around them. There was blood everywhere. One of the girls I was with got her nose broken and we couldn't even get her out of the pit and as we are trying to drag her out for like 5 minutes I get pushed the wrong way and get a charlie horse in both of my legs and punched in the face simultaneously. The bathrooms were ****ed. People crying, vomiting, doing drugs, blood everywhere. No security guards to be found, people jumping from the balcony like 15 feet into the crowd. Completely ridiculous.

My ideal concert would be at some small place wih a low amount of people, where I can clearly see the band play. I hate crowde places.
Its just an un-realistic outlook when we're discussing hardcore shows. You can't avoid people bumping into you even at tiny venues. Good luck though, You'll be the one paying for the ticket so you'll definitely have your own expectations.

Scale your way up some sort of platform and watch the mosh pits from above. It still not as fun.

This thread piqued my interest and I started watching those Wall of Death and huge circle pit videos on YouTube. I love heavy metal but I hate moshing. I used to enjoy slam dancing at hard core punk shows but now I think it just ruins everything. Especially with these idiotic bands that won't use the stage in small venues. Great, I can't see the band unless I want to risk some meathead cracking my skull. Then there's a band like Lightning Bolt complaining the fans aren't giving them room. Yes, people push in because that's why they're there to see the show. So use this convenient little invention called a "stage". It helps people see the "show". I know you want to be equalitarianism and not higher than us peons but guess what? The only ones who can see you are the most gigantic meatheads flinging their arms around and knocking people over. See how that doesn't work??? And God at those huge metal shows even far from the stage people mosh? Good grief. I'd rather just metal out at home than put up with that garbage.
