Used to listen to them a lot more than I do now, but they're still pretty great. Goddamnit is my favourite. Crimson is weak, though.

I have no idea what albums are what with these guys, but everything i heard from them I liked.

For a time I had songs from them on every cd I made.

"I've got a book of matches,
I've got a can of kerosene.
I've got some bad ideas,
involving you and me.
I don't blame you for walkin away,
I'd do the same if I saw me."

Are they actually a good pop-punk band or are they one of those weak borderline ones?

I think it will come down to your appreciation of the vocals. The guy sounds like he has a pretty narrow vocal range sometimes, but if you listen it goes with the music very well.

Maybe I'll give them a shot, I never did and I used to be really into pop punk.

I haven't listened to them in years and I had "this could be love" playing in my head earlier. I would start with the earlier stuff and work your way up to the new cd, just my opinion.

The only thing I own by Alkaline is Remains and it is one of my favorite albums (if you want to call it that). When are most of the songs from that album from? What other stuff do they have that will sound similar?

I like Alkaline Trio, but I don't *love* them. They've got some good tunes, I was introduced to them with "This Could Be Love" and I like that song, but "Sadie" has to be my favorite by them. "Hell Yes," "Goodbye Forever," and "This is Getting Over You" are pretty good as well.

All in all, a 7/10 band with decent lyrics (though Skiba's kinda reaching on some of the vocal parts as far as range goes) and a nifty, if predictable, sound.
